About Courtney Coyle Simann
Hey there,
I’m Courtney Coyle Simaan. With over a decade of experience as a Child and Family therapist, I’ve dedicated my life to supporting the emotional well-being of children. Growing up in Eastern North Carolina and attending UNC Chapel Hill, my passion for working with children has always been instilled in me.
Creating “Flossy’s Many Feelings” was a natural extension of my work. Drawing from my background in therapy, I wanted to provide a resource that entertained and educated children about their emotions. Inspired by the widely-used schooling system, the Zones of Regulation, I crafted a resource for parents and educators to support children’s emotional development. So, I decided to bridge the gap between home and school.
Through my practice, I’ve had the honor of working with children from diverse backgrounds. I have witnessed the transformative power of early intervention and emotional intelligence firsthand, which has fueled my mission to assist children in regulating their emotions and building positive coping skills.
Ultimately, my goal with “Flossy’s Many Feelings” is to create a safe space for children to explore and express their emotions while providing entertainment and valuable life skills. Thank you for joining me on this journey towards promoting children’s emotional well-being.
